On July 17th, the first "Belt and Road" Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development Conference was grandly launched in Chongqing. This international event, jointly hosted by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the People's Government of Chongqing Municipality and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, with the theme of "Overseas Chinese Gathering on the New Silk Road, Hand in Hand towards the Future", brought together over 600 guests from more than 110 countries at home and abroad to participate.
On the eve of the opening ceremony, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee, met with key domestic and international guests. At the opening ceremony, Secretary Yuan announced the conference's commencement. Su Hui, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairperson of the Central Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, attended and delivered a keynote speech. Chongqing Mayor Hu Henghua and Lian Xiaomin, Vice Chairperson of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, gave speeches respectively. Vice Chairperson Cheng Hong of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, along with the Director of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee and Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC, attended the event. The attending leaders and guests engaged in in-depth discussions on the conference theme, resulting in the signing of 66 key projects and the official launch of the Belt and Road Chinese Business Organization Collaboration Network, establishing a new strategic platform for global overseas Chinese business cooperation.
On the afternoon of July 17th, Ms. Lin Xia, assistant to the chairman of the American Yuemin Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager of the Southeast Asia region of Zhongyuan Lianchuang International Trade (Group) Co., LTD., was invited to attend the "Overseas Chinese Assisting High-Quality Development" investment exchange special event. On the morning of July 18th, the inspection team arrived at Zhongxian, an important node of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. The unique cultural charm and vigorous development vitality of this city immediately caught the attention of the inspection team. The inspection team visited the Three Gorges Liucheng · Zhongzhou Lane in Zhongxian County. Everyone was immersed in the profound heritage of Zhongxian's "loyalty and righteousness culture", which also provided inspiration for enterprises to explore the integrated development model of "culture + trade". After watching the live performance of "Smoke of War in The Three Kingdoms", the delegation felt the grandeur of The Three Kingdoms culture in the interplay of light and shadow, deeply realized the rich achievements of the integrated development of culture and tourism in Chongqing, and also saw the huge potential of the combination of local culture and tourism industry and trade circulation.
At the investment promotion conference of Zhongxian County, the local government elaborated on the county's geographical advantages, industrial planning, policy matrix and key cooperation areas. Ms. Lin Xia made precise connections with the organizers on issues such as the integration of agricultural and sideline products trade and cultural tourism industry. She proposed suggestions such as "establishing a cross-border agricultural products cooperation mechanism", which were highly recognized by the representatives of government and enterprises present. Subsequently, the inspection team also visited Changshou District, visiting sites such as Changshou Slow City to gain an on-site understanding of the local practices in ecological protection, industrial development, and urban-rural integration.
This "Belt and Road" Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development Conference has built a strategic fulcrum for Yuemin Group to connect the world.
